Ginger Soy Cod

Ginger Soy Cod is full of wonderful Asian flavors. Fresh ginger, soy sauce and lemon juice is so good you will want to put this sauce on everything.

Ginger Soy Cod is a simple recipe with a wonderful sauce. Keep a close eye on the sauce as you are cooking it because it will thicken very quickly. I like to put the fish on top of the rice then add the sauce. I like to the sauce to sink into the rice.

I like to cook fish outside on the grill because I don’t like my house to smell of fish. If you do the same be sure to use a cast iron pan that has a flat bottom. If you use a grill pan with slots on the bottom it will be impossible to make the sauce in the same pan and the fish will stick badly.

Cost Per Serving $6.28 as of May 2023

Fish is more expensive than other meats so the cost per serving is a lot higher. It is not really a budget friendly protein.

If you have ZERO ingredients then this recipe will cost about $25.13.

If you have a stocked pantry this dish will cost you about $19.16.

  • Cost per serving reduces to $4.79.

I am assuming you have salt and pepper and do not add it into the recipe total cost.
